There is certainly a lot going on in Disney World these days. Obviously, the big news is the opening of Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios on June 30, but there are other things opening in time for summer too.
One of the new experiences for Animal Kingdom will open on April 22. “Flights of Wonder” closed at the end of last year to make way for a new show featuring some characters from “UP,” a Disney•Pixar movie.
In this new show, called “UP! A Great Bird Adventure,” Russell and Dug will be the stars. Guests can join these two as their adventure takes them to Anandapur village where they will see species of birds from around the world.
This new show sounds like it’s going to be really cute. I know people liked the “Flights of Wonder” show, but this sounds like it will be similar. Plus, the characters are an added bonus. Russell and Dug are both very entertaining characters in the movie, so I would expect this show to be entertaining and informative (Russell is a Senior Wilderness Explorer after all).
The show will have multiple performances each day. We’ll keep you posted as more information is released.

Thank you for the continued updates. We’re headed back in October and the friends we’re going with will be their 40th anniversary of my wife and I “kinda” playing matchmaker. It will be our 42nd anniversary and can’t wait for all the new additions.
