Does your child ever ask you if they can write a letter to their favorite Disney character? It happens a lot, especially after you have just been on a Disney vacation.
After one of our Disney trips my daughter kept talking about all the characters she had seen. I knew it would be a little while before we could get back to Disney World and I had heard from people that they written to some characters and received a postcard from Disney. So I thought we should give it a try.
I sat down with my daughter and asked her what she wanted to say to her favorite princess, Ariel. So she listed off everything she wanted to say to her and I wrote it in a letter for her (she was 2 at the time). At the end of the letter she drew a little picture for Ariel and included a sticker that she thought Ariel would like. Then we put a stamp on it and sent it off to Disney World. Here is the address:

I will be honest, it took forever to get a response. It took a couple of months for the postcard to come. So if you write a letter, don’t be discouraged if a response doesn’t come within the first month. It’s slow, but you should get a response.
When the postcard came, it was “signed” by Ariel, Princess Tiana, Princess Jasmine, Belle, Snow White, Rapunzel, Princess Aurora, and Cinderella. On the back of the card it says “May all your dreams come true. Love, Cinderella and my royal friends.”
I was a little bummed that it wasn’t just from Ariel (since that is who she wrote the letter to), but it is a free service. My daughter was so excited to have a postcard signed by that many princesses and that’s really all that matters.
You can also write to Mickey and his friends and get a postcard from them. We have not done this yet, but I think it would be fun to see that postcard too. I am not sure if there are any with Pixar characters, but it can’t hurt to write them and find out!
So, if you are looking for a fun activity to do with the kids, this is a good one. They will love writing to their favorite characters and getting a postcard in the mail addressed to them. Have fun with it!
Thanks for reading!
