This week’s featured photo takes us to Pandora – The World of Avatar in Animal Kingdom.
This new section of the park opened on May 27, 2017 and has been a popular part of the park. Guests are usually waiting to experience Flight of Passage or Na’vi River Journey, grabbing a bite at Satu’li Canteen, or adopting a banshee from Windtraders. However, this is a really nice place to walk around and soak up your surroundings.
When people say that this section is immersive, they are not kidding. The detail that Disney put into creating this area is incredible. From the floating mountains to the plants from Pandora, you can easily forget you are in Disney World. It’s a good idea to take a stroll around and see what you can find.
The picture for this week was taken as I was walking around and seeing this area for the first time. The water feature mixed with the plant life from Pandora make this an area that is easy to spend some time in. Mind you, the whole area of Pandora – The World of Avatar is not huge, but there is certainly a lot to see.
The next time (or the first time) you visit the amazing area in Animal Kingdom make sure to take the time to walk around and see all the details. Disney is nothing if not detailed.
Have you been to Pandora – The World of Avatar?
Thanks for reading!

My husband and I go to Disney every April so we missed the opening but our looking forward to checking it during our 2018 trip.
Enjoy it when you see it next year. Like I said, it’s not a huge area, but there is a lot to see. Plus, it’s fun to look up at the floating mountains. Disney never ceases to amaze me!
If it works out go during the day and again at night to see the neon/black light glow.
I missed out on seeing at night when I went opening day, but I’m hoping to see it the next time I visit. The pictures of it at night look amazing!
