This week’s featured photo brings us to Magic Kingdom.
As you can tell from the name, the riverboat is located in Liberty Square. It is in the same area as the Haunted Mansion, in fact you pass by the spooky attraction as you are making your way back to the dock. The steam-powered paddler wheeler takes guests on a 17 minute, half mile, journey and there are quite a few things to see during the ride. During the ride you will hear narration for author Mark Twain.
The Liberty Belle is a working reproduction of these historic type of boats. It’s fun to explore the decks and see the details Disney has put into this vessel. There are four decks and seating is available on each deck, but it is limited.
Boat Decks:
- Pilothouse
- Promenade Deck
- Texas (or Sun) Deck
- Main Deck
Sights Along the Way:
- Early American Settlement
- Native American Village
- Fort Langhorn
- Wilson’s Cave Inn
- Woodland Animals
- Views of Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, and The Haunted Mansion
Check out the video of the Liberty Square Riverboat:
The riverboat is a great way to take a break from the busy feeling of the park. It’s a very calm and peaceful ride. Plus, I really like the different views you get of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, and The Haunted Mansion. Make sure to wave to people on the rides and waiting in line!
Have you every been on the Liberty Square Riverboat?
Thanks for reading!
