This usually happens every February. So it’s not really a surprise that Disney is planning to raise ticket prices tomorrow, February 12.
According to the Orlando Sentinel the increases will range from $2 – $5, which doesn’t seem like much, but the tickets are expensive enough already. Plus, Disney started the three tiered seasonal one-day ticket prices last year. So the price of your ticket depends on the time of year you are going.
The following list are prices for adult one-day tickets. The price per day decreases the longer the length of the ticket.
Tickets for Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom:
- Mid-tier tickets: $107 (up from $102)
- Peak Season (Spring Break, Summer, and Christmas Break): $119 (up from $114)
- Value Season: $99 (up from $97)
Tickets for the Magic Kingdom have different prices:
- Mid-tier Tickets: $115 (up from $110)
- Peak Season: Price will remain at $124
Value season tickets for the Magic Kingdom and children’s ticket prices are also going up, though the article does not mention how much. Magic Kingdom value season one-day tickets are $105 right now, so the price will probably increase to $107 or $110, if it keeps in line with the other increases. Annual pass holders and Florida-resident pass holders will also see increases. With these changes Disney will also be putting expiration dates on all tickets.
In addition to the increases, Disney will be starting something that will save guests money. Starting February 12, guests can save $20 on Magic Your Way bundles from three to 10 days when they buy tickets online or on their phones. The savings don’t sound like a lot, given how much tickets cost, but that $20 can be put towards the food budget or souvenir budget.
A couple of other changes include an increase to the price of preferred parking and changes to the “Water Park Fun & More” ticket option. The price for preferred park will increase from $35 to $40. The “Water Park Fun & More” option will be taken away as a solo option, but can still be purchased with park hopper tickets.
How do you feel about these changes?
