The Christmas season is a fun time to visit Disney World. The decorations are beautiful and there are lots of different things going on. A couple of events guests look forward to are the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays and the Candlelight Processional.
Disney recently released dates for both of those events, which many guests like to include in their vacation experience. The Epcot International Festival of the Holidays will run from November 18 – December 30 and the Candlelight Processional will run from November 22 – December 30. So this is the first year that the Candlelight Processional is open for Thanksgiving.
The Epcot International Festival of the Holidays
This event gives guests the opportunity to visit the 11 countries in the World Showcase and see how different cultures celebrate the holiday season. The festivities include seasonal food & beverages available at the Holiday Kitchens, musical productions, and costumed performers throughout the World Showcase.
The Candlelight Processional
During the show a celebrity narrator tells the story of Christmas. Accompanying the narrator is a 50-piece orchestra and massed choir, and they put on a beautiful performance. In addition, Disney also offers Candlelight Processional Dining Packages, if guests want to have dinner before the show.
No other details are listed on the website, as of the time of writing. Disney has not yet announced who the celebrity narrators are and which restaurants will participate in the dining package. We will keep you updated as more details are released.
Have you experienced either of these events at Disney World?
