Just yesterday the dates for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party were announced. Today guests looking for Christmas party dates are in luck. Disney has announced the dates for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
Starting in early November guests will be able to experience the magic of the Christmas party in the Magic Kingdom. This is a beautiful time of year at Disney World. Guests can see their favorite characters dressed in fun Christmas outfits and, of course, Cinderella Castle is decked out with icicle lights and it looks beautiful!
As with the Halloween party, the Christmas party also has a special parade and offerings. Hot chocolate and cookies are usually offered and you may even see snow on Main Street U.S.A.
Here are the dates for the 2016 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party:
- November: 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 18, 27, and 29
- December: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 11, 13, 15, 16, 18, and 22
Are you attending the Christmas party this year?
Thanks for reading!

They released the dates but don’t tell you when you will be able to get tickets. We’re coming down in early December and would like to make sure we are able to get tickets as only 2 of the listed days are in our vacation time.
They usually make tickets available in April. Once it’s announced I’ll definitely post that tickets are available for purchase.
Liz, thanks so much for the info on the tickets, I’ll keep a extra eye out in April. We are really looking forward to Christmas time at the parks and resorts. Got any suggestions for us?
Again thanks in advance
No problem, Charlene! The decorations in the parks are fun and some of the rides even get themed for the season. The Jungle Cruise in the Magic Kingdom usually turns into the Jingle Cruise and the ride is decorated with a Christmas theme. Very fun! Also, try to get to Disney’s resort hotels, especially the deluxe resorts. They have these beautiful and quite impressive gingerbread displays. Plus, the lobbies have beautiful Christmas trees. Christmas time at Disney World will give you lots of great photo opportunities 🙂
Just wanted to follow up to see if tickets had gone on sale yet? Thanks so much
Hi Jamie!
I just checked for you and they are not available yet. Hopefully they will be available by the end of the month. I’ll definitely post when they’re available 🙂

Hi Ronyn!
Yes, the parks will still be lit for Christmas while you are there and Disney World is open on both Christmas Eve and Christmas day. I am not sure what the hours are though, I don’t think they have been released yet.
As for fun things to do with four kids, there are lots of things to do. My suggestion would be to join our Facebook group and post the question there. You will get lots of great suggestions from people in the group of fun things to do 🙂 We have a good time in the group!
