With all of the new released yesterday, this is definitely one that has been anticipated by many people. We are getting closer to an actual opening date for Toy Story Land.
Disney has announced that Toy Story Land will open in the summer of 2018! So it would seem that we are about a year away from it opening. Start making your plans for opening day!
The new land sounds like a lot of fun for kids and adults alike. Disney is adding two new rides to Toy Story Land, Slinky Dog Dash (a family roller coaster) and Alien Swirling Saucers. Slinky Dog Dash will have many turns and drops. Aerial images show that the work on Slinky Dog Dash has started and it looks like it is going to be a fun roller coaster!
The second ride that will be added, Alien Swirling Saucers, is supposed to be a play set of Andy’s that he got from Pizza Planet. Guests will ride in a rocket toy vehicle and the aliens will fly overhead in their toy saucers trying to capture you with “The Claw.” Did you just say “The Claw” in the alien voice in your head too?
I know a lot of people are excited for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to open, and I am too, but our kids still love Toy Story and I’m glad that this is opening sooner rather than later. This is going to be a great addition to Hollywood Studios! Can’t wait for summer 2018!
