In addition to the name change, Morimoto Asia is opening today (September 30).

According to Disney Parks Blog, there are a couple more dining experiences coming to Downtown Disney and new details have been released.
One of the dining experiences is The Edison and it will be themed as a 1920s electric company (hence the name). It will be similar to its sister location on the west coast and will have 35-foot ceilings and different themed areas to explore.
You can also expect to see nightly entertainment which will include palm readers, contortionists, DJs, and more. This will be an “Industrial Gothic” style restaurant and bar. The menu will consist of classic American Food and artisanal craft cocktails. The Edison will open in 2016.
Also released were details about STK Orlando. This location will be the only spot to offer rooftop dining when it opens later this year. So you can dine in a nice lounge setting and enjoy the sights of Disney Springs.
As more details are released we will keep you updated.

A new gelato shop is coming to Downtown Disney/Disney Springs.
According to Disney Parks Blog, this is a family-run gelato shop and it’s the second storefront for Vivoli Gelateria. The first storefront is in Florence, Italy and it is on many “Florence Must-Do” lists.
The family likes the mix of a fun family vacation and a sunny destination that Disney World offers. So that’s why they decided to open a shop in Downtown Disney/Disney Springs.
In addition to the gelato, Vivoli Gelateria will also be serving traditional panini, biscotti, espresso, and tarts.
The gelato looks delicious and I can’t wait to try some during our next visit!
Check out the gallery of gelato on Disney Parks Blog.
Vivoli Gelateria will open to guests later this month. Are you as excited as I am for this new delicious treat to be offered in Downtown Disney?

The news broke today that the planned aviation-themed restaurant in Downtown Disney will be called Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. Jock Lindsey is a character from Indiana Jones who flew Indy on his plane to different locations around the world.
The restaurant will be situated between Paradiso 37 and the newly opened BOATHOUSE restaurant. The new restaurant will have seating for 150 people.
The decor of the restaurant sounds pretty cool. There will be propeller-based ceiling fans, vintage travel posters, an expansive bar, other aviation decor, and correspondence between Jock, Indy, and their fellow adventurers on display.

Guests will be able to find seating outside the restaurant as well. Jock’s old steamboat, fittingly named “Reggie”, is in permanent dry dock next to the restaurant. So guests will be able to dine and drink on “Reggie” as well as on a nearby adjacent deck.
Some of the things you can expect to see on the menu are:
