Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some great guesses, but this picture proved to be a little tricky to pinpoint.
The wall is located in the Village Traders shop in the Outpost section of the World Showcase at Epcot. The Outpost area was originally supposed to be the proposed Equatorial Africa pavilion, but it never came to be. So instead, Disney added this Outpost area in between China and Germany.
Here is what you will find in the Outpost area:
- Refreshment Outpost – food and drink
- Village Traders – An open-air market with African-themed items.
- Coin Press Machine
- Face Painting
- A drum area by the Refreshment Cool Post for kids to play with.
It’s not a huge area, but it’s worth a look around. The drum area is a popular stop and there’s an old looking car parked right near the area, which is a fun backdrop for pictures. Across the way you will see some tables where you can sit and enjoy snacks and drinks while having a nice view of World Showcase Lagoon. Looking over the barrier by the tables you will see some canoes on the beach, a nice detail that’s easy to miss.
Thanks to everyone who played along this week! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon!
Have you stopped by the Outpost while walking around the World Showcase?
Thanks for reading!
