Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. As always there were some great guesses, but three people knew where to find the painting.
Congratulations to Melanie, Caroline, and Robbie, who all knew the painting can be found on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT. Robbie correctly pointed out that it is a framed picture located in the queue of the ride. Specifically, the ride is located in the France pavilion in the World Showcase. It’s in a new area that was built for the ride and there is also a creperie here, La Creperie de Paris.
When guests first enter the area they’ll head down a path and under an arch that says Ratatouille. In middle of the area where the ride is located there is a fountain that is themed to the ride. Guests will see Remy and friends pouring water out of bottles into the fountain. It’s actually a very nice fountain and it makes a nice background for pictures.
The ride itself is very cute. It’s one of Disney’s 4D rides, meaning guests wear 3D glasses, but there are other sensory effects added to the ride as well. Some of those effects are feeling heat under the stove and getting sprayed by an opened bottle of wine. Guests ride in vehicles that look like mice, with the idea being that guests are the size of a mouse, and they are following Remy through the kitchen at Gusteau’s restaurant. Of course, chaos ensues. There is a lot to see, so it’s really fun to look all around. Keep in mind that these ride vehicles do spin, nothing like the teacups, but they do spin around to see different scenes or change direction.
Congratulations again to those who knew where to find the painting and thanks to everyone who played along! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon.
Have you been on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure?
Thanks for reading!
