Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some really good guesses, but two people knew exactly where to find this building.
Congratulations to Caroline and Lori who both knew that the building is located in the United Kingdom area of EPCOT’s World Showcase. This is part of the Tea Caddy building, as Caroline pointed out, and part of the meet and greet area for Alice, as Lori pointed out. This is one of the first areas guests coming from the EPCOT Resort area will see when they enter through the International Gateway.
The Tea Caddy is a cute little shop to visit and browse. As the name would imply, the shop sells tea (Twinings Tea), tea accessories, British sweets, cookies, and royal memorabilia. I’ve gotten a few tea cups and a tea pot from here, which I still use. The tea cups are Disney themed, but some are more subtle with the Disney theme. One of my favorite cups I bought at The Tea Caddy is Mary Poppins themed and has an elegance about it, as it should considering who it’s representing. Even if I’m not purchasing anything, I still love to wander the shop to see what they have, there’s lots of things to look at.
The side of The Tea Caddy is also attached to the meet and greet for Alice. We’ve done this meet a couple of times and it’s nice, because it’s off the main walkway into the World Showcase, so you feel as though you have a little more privacy. Plus, the backdrop of the landscaping and other buildings looks nice in pictures. You can check the My Disney Experience app to see what times Alice is meeting guests during your EPCOT day.
Congratulations to everyone who knew where to find the building and thanks to everyone who played along! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon.
Have you been to The Tea Caddy in the United Kingdom Pavilion?
Thanks for reading!
