Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some good guesses, but this one was a bit tough.
Congratulations to Julie, who guessed that it’s located in the Splash Mountain area. Technically it is located in the Frontierland Train Station, but Julie was the closest to the location. The decor does match the decor in Splash Mountain, so good eye, Julie!
The Walt Disney World Railroad returned to operations this past December after being closed for four years. The closure was due to the construction of Tron and the need to take up the tracks. During the reconstruction of the track, it was designed to go through the new Tron attraction area, so a fun narration is included in this part of the ride. The train stops at three different stations in Magic Kingdom: Main Street U.S.A., Frontierland, and Fantasyland. The entire train loop lasts about 20 minutes, so it’s a nice way to relax during a busy day in the park. Plus, it’s nice to have the option to take the train to another part of the park instead of walking all over the park.
During the 20 minute ride, the train passes by different scenes, some of which can only be seen on the train. Guests also get to see different sides of rides, like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and some backstage areas. Some of those backstage ares are places where you might see cast members waving at the train. It’s so nice to have the train back!
Congratulations to Julie and thanks to everyone who played along this week! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon.
Have you had a chance to ride the train yet?
Thanks for reading!
