Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. This week, four people knew where to find the croquet mallets.
Congratulations to Diane, Shelly, Connie, and Cathy who all know the croquet mallets can be found at Cape May Cafe. This buffet style restaurant is located at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, which is located next to EPCOT. Like the hotel, the restaurant has a New England theme to it, and the croquet mallets are part of the decorations here. There are decorations like this throughout the restaurant, so make sure to take a look when you visit.
Breakfast and dinner are severed at Cape May Cafe, and during breakfast guests can meet Minnie and friends for Minnie’s Beach Bash. During breakfast the characters are in their beach outfits and make their way around the dining room meeting with guests. Dinner is just the meal, the characters do not make an appearance at dinner. So if you want to see the characters, make sure to book breakfast.
The menus consist of standard buffet items, with a few special items available. For breakfast there are things like fruit, oatmeal, grits, eggs, waffles, french toast, bacon, sausage, omelet station, and carving station. In addition, salted caramel “Beach Buns” are brought to the table and are served with vanilla cream. We booked breakfast during our last trip and it was a hit with everyone in our group, we all left happy and full.
For dinner, the menu focuses more on seafood, but there are other choices available as well. Guests will find things like salad, New England clam chowder, plant-based seasonal soup, a carving station, a fried seafood selection, New England traditional steam boil, paella, roasted chicken, snow crab legs ($29 per pound), catch of the day, plant-based dishes, vegetables, dessert, and a children’s section. There are also specialty drinks available.
Congratulations to everyone who knew where to find the croquet mallets and thanks to everyone who played along! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon. Have you been to Cape May Cafe?
Thanks for reading!
