Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. This one was a little tougher, but two people knew where to find the door.
Congratulations to Jess and GrumpyTom who both knew that the door can be found at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. The door is located on the first floor as you are walking from the rooms towards the Beach Club Marketplace. GrumpyTom mentioned that he believes it might be where the daycare/children’s activity center used to be and I think he may be right. The activity centers were located at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Polynesian Village Resort, and the Beach Club Resort, but they closed a few years back. I’m not sure what the room is used for now, but it was never open when we walked past and didn’t have a sign indicating what the room was used for now. Whether the room is used or not, it’s a really cute door and I’m glad I noticed it this trip.
The door is right by the Beach Club Marketplace, which is a combination of gift shop and quick service food location. The shop section always has cute things to purchase. Ranging from home decor, jewelry, clothing, games, MagicBands, and more, there is a good amount of merchandise at this location. Even though the area doesn’t look as big as some other gift shops, they pack a lot into the space. There are some resort specific items available at Beach Club Marketplace, as well.
The food section of the Beach Club Marketplace offers quick grab and go foods, hot foods, desserts, a cooler with different drinks, and grocery items like snacks you can bring to the parks. The hot food items available here are decent. While we didn’t try the breakfast items available, I did try the chicken dinner. The portion size of the chicken dinner was good and the chicken was pretty juicy. For the grab and go options, there are things like sandwiches, salads, parfaits, desserts, and more. It’s a decent option if you are looking for something quick. This is also the location where you will get the refillable mugs.
