Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. I thought this one might be a little tough, but three people knew exactly where to find this wall.
Congratulations to Dorothy, Charlie, and Margaret who all knew the wall is located at Garden Grill in Epcot. Specifically, the restaurant is located in The Land pavilion on the second floor, and Charlie pointed out that there is a hidden Mickey in the wall. It’s not your typical hidden Mickey shape, but there is a Mickey on the wall. There’s also a pretty cool feature with this restaurant, it rotates! The rotation is slow, but it does rotate. As the restaurant rotates, guests will slowly move past different scenes from the Living with the Land ride on the lower level.
Another feature of this restaurant is that it’s a character dining restaurant where characters visit with guests at their table. At Garden Grill guests will get to see Farmer Mickey, Chip, Dale, and Pluto. The best part is they don’t just come around once, they’ll visit your table multiple times while you eat. During our last visit, the kids got so many pictures with the characters, it was great. Also, Dale usually acts interested in your food, so if you invite him to join you he will most likely sit down at the table next to one of the kids. This makes for a really cute photo opportunity.
The food is served family style and you are welcome to order as much as you would like. Included in the family style meal: Harvest-inspired Garden Salad, Grilled Beef with Chimichurri, Barbecue-roasted Chicken, Seasonal Vegetables, Southern-style Spoon Bread, Creamy Mashed Potatoes, Macaroni & Cheese, and Berry Short Cake. Certain drinks are included as well, but there are also drinks available for purchase.
Lunch and dinner cost the same, $55 per adult and $36 for kids ages 3-9. So it’s definitely not inexpensive, especially when you are paying for a whole family. However, if you are looking for a laid back way to see some character this is a good option. As I said above, the characters visit the table multiple times, so there are plenty opportunities for pictures and autographs.
Congratulations to everyone who knew where to find the wall and thanks to everyone who played along! Another Where is it Wednesday will be up soon.
Have you been to Garden Grill?
