Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some great guesses, but one person knew where to find these images.
Congratulations to Pat, who knew that these images are located at ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Specifically, the images are located in the waiting area for ‘Ohana, right before guests walk into the restaurant. They are painted on a border that wraps around this area. It’s a very easy detail to miss, especially since people in this area are generally eagerly awaiting their dining reservation.
‘Ohana is one of the most popular hotel restaurants on property, serving both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast used to be a character dining experience, but as of this writing the characters have not yet returned. Hopefully, we’ll be seeing the character back soon. During dinner, the elements of the main course used to be served on skewers, but that has since changed. Now, each item is brought to the table already in bowls. Not a big deal, but definitely a noticeable change from how things used to be served. The entire meal is served family style, and there is plenty of food to share. Guests do not leave this restaurant hungry, that’s for sure.
The decor of the restaurant blends in with the rest of the resort with tikis and tropical plants found throughout. There are windows that look out over the resort and the resort pool. At night, the Magic Kingdom fireworks can be seen from the restaurant. So if you make a dinner reservation around the time of the fireworks you’ll get dinner and a show.
Congratulations again to Pat for knowing the answer and thanks to everyone who played along. Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon!
Have you been to ‘Ohana?
Thanks for reading!
