Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it was located. This proved to be one of the tougher ones, but one person knew exactly where the lamp is located.
Congratulations to Melanie who knew that the lamp can be found at the Yacht Club Resort! Specifically, it’s in a little area off of the lobby before the restrooms. It’s something that most people miss, because it’s not in a gathering area, it’s an area that most people just walk through to get somewhere else. To be honest, this is the first time I noticed the lamps. We were in this area waiting for someone and my friend noticed them and thought they would make a good Where is it Wednesday picture. I want to also acknowledge Mike on the Main Street Wishes Facebook page who guessed the lobby at the BoardWalk Resort. I could definitely see those lamps fitting in with some of the other decorations in that lobby too, good guess Mike!
The Yacht Club is one of the EPCOT area resorts and it’s a really nice resort. One of our favorite restaurants is located at the Yacht Club, the Yachtsman Steakhouse. If you are looking for good steak, give this place a try. We find it a nice spot for date night, because of the atmosphere and menu. Other restaurants include Ale & Compass, the Market at Ale & Compass, and the restaurants at Beach Club Resort.
One of the big bonuses to staying at Yacht Club or any of the EPCOT area resorts is the location. These resorts are within walking distance to both EPCOT (International Gateway – the back entrance of the park) and Hollywood Studios (about a 15 minute walk). In addition to being about to walk to these parks, guests staying at the Yacht or Beach Club can also visit the BoardWalk area, which has more shopping, dining, and entertainment.
There are a few different transportation options available at the EPCOT area resorts. As I said above, guests can walk to the two closest parks. In addition to walking, guests can take the Skyliner or boats to both EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. The Disney Skyliner is the newest transportation option and it gives guests some great views. Buses are available to the other theme parks, as well as the water parks, Disney Springs, and the ESPN area.
Congratulations again to Melanie for knowing where to find the lamp and thanks to everyone who played along. Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon!
Have you been to the Yacht Club or any of the EPCOT area resorts? Which is your favorite?
Thanks for reading!
