Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some great guesses, but this one was a stumper.
The light can be found in the old lobby of the Coronado Springs Resort. This area used to be where guests check-in or visited when they had questions or needed help. The lobby is now located in the Gran Destino tower, but a hallway connects the two buildings. It’s easy to see all the details in the old lobby, now that it is not as busy. The lights are just one of the many details you’ll find in this area in the building. There are also some chairs, so guests can sit and enjoy the quiet in a once busy area.
El Centro may not house the lobby anymore, but it does still contain the gift shop, a few nice dining options, and a beautiful fountain that is a great photo opportunity. The gift shop, Panchito’s Gifts and Sundries, offers a wide variety of souvenirs, clothing, food, and other necessities. It’s a good size store, so there’s a lot to see and it’s fun to look around.
For dining, guests can find everything from table service to quick service and to-go offerings, there’s a good variety of food options to try. If you are looking for table service restaurants you can try Maya Grill or Rix Sports Bar and Grill. For quicker meals visit Cafe Rix or El Mercado de Coronado.
The fountain is one of my favorite things in this building, it’s very pretty. Usually, there are guests positioning themselves in front of it to take family photos.
Thanks to everyone who played along this week! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon!
Have you been to Coronado Springs?
Thanks for reading!
