Today Disney announced some improvements that will be coming to the dining reservation process for both Disney World and Disneyland. These updates sound like they will help guests by making the dining reservation process more user friendly.
The first, and most helpful, update will be making all available reservation slots visible at the time of booking. Right now guests can only see a few slots when they pick a timeframe for their meal, but that will change. With this update all the available time slots for the selected dining location and timeframe will now show on the screen. This will definitely be helpful when booking reservations!
The next feature included in the update will be that the reservation slots will be sorted by meal period. With this update guests can view the menu that will be available during the time slot they choose. So now it will be clear as to whether the menu for each time selected serves breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Sometimes that was not always clear on Disney’s website, so this will hopefully help with the clarity when guests are booking.
Disney has said that these updates will become available in phases. They will be rolling them out across both websites (Disney World and Disneyland) and both apps for iOS and Android. These aren’t huge updates, but they should help simplify the dining reservation process, which is great!
Are you happy with these changes to the dining reservation process?
