Since Main Street Wishes was launched in October 2014, it has grown quite a bit. That is, of course, thanks to all the awesome people like you who come to our website and read the posts.
Over the years people have contributed to Main Street Wishes (thank you Steph and Maureen!) and the time has come again to welcome a new contributor. So, please welcome Lisa to the Main Street Wishes family!
Lisa and I have been friends for years. We met at a radio station where we both worked and bonded over Harry Potter and the show Friends. Later we both ended up working at different Disney Stores. We decided to plan a Disney trip to use our comp tickets we got for working at the store. We had such a great time! It was fun to experience Disney World as a single 20-something. It didn’t hurt that we were there when Pleasure Island was still in Downtown Disney (now Disney Springs). Anyone else miss Pleasure Island?
So excited that Lisa will be contributing to the website! She has lots of writing experience and she loves Disney. A perfect combination for the website! Check out her first post about Vero Beach. It makes me want to visit there as soon as possible!
Please join me in welcoming Lisa to the Disney fun of the Main Street Wishes community. This is the best community of Disney fans, you have such love for everything that is Disney and we all love talking Disney with you!

Thanks for being such a great community and, as always, thanks for reading!

I love All things Disney, too! I come every year to visit my son who only lives 30 minutes away from Disney! I have a question. Is there a store or such that sells sugar free treats, candy, ice cream, Disney treats? I’m diabetic and I still love all things sweet but I have to be careful.
Hi Sharon!
There are some places that have sugar-free treats. The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor in Magic Kingdom has SF ice cream, Sprinkles in Disney Springs has some SF cupcakes, and there are quite a few restaurants that have SF desserts. I’ll write something up for the website and post it tomorrow. 🙂
