See Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Spectacular Fireworks [VIDEO]

This past trip to Disney World I had a few “firsts.” There were certain restaurants I had never tried, shows I had never seen, and events I had never experienced. One of those events was Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

I had never experienced the Christmas party before, only the Halloween party. I will write a detailed post about the Christmas party separately, but wanted to share the video from the fireworks at the party.

The fireworks in the Magic Kingdom can be viewed from lots of great places, the most common is in front of the castle (of course). I’ve only ever viewed the fireworks from in front of the castle or from higher vantage points, like the observation deck at the California Grill. This time, however, we were just coming out of dinner from Be Our Guest Restaurant and didn’t want to immerse ourselves in the crowd again, so we stayed by the Beast’s castle. 

I wasn’t sure if this was a good spot, but we also wanted to get in line for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train right after the fireworks, so it was a good spot for that. We found out quickly that it was not a bad spot for viewing the fireworks, not at all. We were surrounded by the fireworks, so it was pretty cool. I would definitely recommend this spot, especially if you want to stay out of the crowd.

You can take a look at the video below and see for yourself. It is a little shaky, and I apologize for that. That battery on my phone was super low and I was trying to get the charger out of my purse. The charger was (of course) at the absolute bottom of my bottomless bag (a la Mary Poppins). 

I loved being surrounded by the fireworks, it was a pretty cool view. In front of the castle is great because you can see all the fireworks at once, but this spot was definitely less crowded.
