It’s October, so that means it’s time for the next Disney Treasures subscription box by Funko! The theme for this box is Haunted Forest and it has some fun things inside.
When you open the box the first thing you will see are the patch and pin that come with every box. This month the patch is the Magic Mirror from Snow White and the pin is Jafar from Aladdin. The patch is very bright and colorful and the pin has some nice detail on it, both are good additions to the patch and pin collections.
Something else you will see when you first open the box is the map of all the themes that we have seen and the themes that are coming up next. The map is printed on the inside of every box and is a really nice detail with this subscription.
Once you lift the cover up the fist item you will see is a Nightmare Before Christmas trick-or-treat bag. Zero is printed on the front of the bag and he has a jack-o-lantern for his glowing nose. It’s a good size bag, so kids can use it for trick-or-treating around the neighborhood or it can be used for trick-or-treating at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Underneath the bag is the Pop! that was announced. It’s Maleficent in her dragon form and it’s very cool. This Pop! is huge compared to the other figures we have received. The detail in this Pop! is really good and it will make a nice display piece for Halloween.
Next up, we received a Funko Dorbz character. This time around the Dorbz is Cruella De Vil and she’s very cute. She has her signature half black/half white hair, her fur jacket, and her gloves. The detail on this little figure is pretty good too and she can be easily displayed inside the box she comes in.
Also in the box is another themed tin. This tin has the theme of the Haunted Mansion ride (there is always a Disney Parks item in the boxes). Each side of the tin has a different scene from the ride and, once again, the art work is very nicely done.
Inside the tin is another mystery mini figure. I love that the mystery mini figures are always included, it’s fun to open a blind bag in each box. This mini figure turned out to be the Hatbox Ghost from the ride and it’s a really cool mini figure. I’m happy something from the Haunted Mansion made it into the box, it’s such a classic ride and the Hatbox Ghost is a classic character.
We also got a sticker of the theme of the box and the map that is included with every box. The map includes descriptions of each item in the box and gives a hint to the next Pop! figure for the next themed box.
Snowflake Mountain is the theme of the next box and it will close on December 1, 2017. The Haunted Forest box sold out pretty quickly and I wouldn’t be surprised if the Snowflake Mountain box sold out too.
Check out the video for more information on the items in the box.
