This week’s ears in the spotlight aren’t technically ears, but they are a fun new headband.
The Slinky Dog Headband was released in celebration of the opening of Toy Story Land on June 30. They’re really cute and perfect for any Toy Story fan!
Instead of ears on top of the headband, Slinky Dog is stretched across the top. The front and back of Slinky is plush, so it’s very soft to the touch. He has floppy ears on his head, a green collar, and he has a happy look on his cute little face. The middle part is plastic and is flexible (like the real slinky). His tail is also flexible and springy, so it bounces around as you walk. The tip of the tail is plush, while the base of the tail is plastic. This is one of the cutest features I have seen on the headbands.
The headband is covered in the same soft, brown material that makes up Slinky Dog. The soft material covers both the outside and the inside of the headband, so depending on the size of your head, it could slip a bit. I found the headband to be comfortable to wear, but if I moved my head a lot it usually slipped off. Just something I noticed.
This headband doesn’t light up like the Aliens Headband, but I think it’s just as fun! If you are a Toy Story fan, or you have a child who is, I would definitely check these out during your next vacation.
Right now, I don’t see the Slink Dog Headband on the Shop Disney Parks app or on shopDisney.com, probably because it’s too new. However, you can find this headband at select locations in Hollywood Studios.

My ❤️ still goes to the rose gold Minnie Ears… which were sold out at Christmas when we were there! Oh well! ☹️
Maybe they’ll get more in stock on and they’ll be back on the Shop Disney Parks app. Fingers crossed!
I found them on shopDisney.com! As long as you don’t mind paying shipping, you can get them online.

Thanks Liz for the news about the rose gold ears… I’ll have to see if they ship to Canada!! We are just sitting here planning our next Disney vacation for next August.. we’ve never tried summer before always springbreak or Christmas as I am a teacher so my traveling is limited. Ho hum! We are in Winnipeg MB Canada and have had another scorcher of a summer with little to no rain at all! We are imagining that this is what it would be like in Disney with the addition of more humidity! Have you ever been there in the month of August? I love your blog and think that you give awesome information. Thank you!! Take care!❤️
Hi Linda!
No problem! I hope the do ship to Canada for you. 🙂
I haven’t been in August, but I have been in June, July, and September. It gets very hot and humid, so I highly recommend bringing cooling towels and fans. I even wore a cooling headband underneath my hat (I don’t deal well with the heat LOL).
Thank you so much for the kind words about the blog! I’m glad that you find the information helpful! 🙂 Let me know if you ever would like help booking and planning a trip. The agency I work with is an Authorized Disney Vacation Planning Agency and there’s no cost to book through us. Also, you can join the Main Street Wishes Facebook group if you would like. There are a lot of very helpful Disney fans in the group. 🙂
Enjoy the rest of your summer, I hope you get some break in the heat!
Thanks for this post! So I just purchased these ears on a third-party site and just received them. The seller claimed that they had never been used but they look really dirty to me. I was curious are the head bans intentionally dirty looking? I don’t want to leave negative feedback if they are intentionally made this way, idk maybe like a loved toy is dirty so not sure if these were made that way on purpose? I haven’t found anything online that dates it was done intentionally. Thanks!
