This week’s ears in the spotlight are a fun pair that I have wanted for a while.
I found the pirate ears while I was in Disney World. They can be found in most bigger stores, like the World of Disney Store in Disney Springs. There is quite a bit going on with these ears, but they’re a fun set to wear.
The ears on the headband are thick and covered with a silky material that is pink and white striped. Since the ears are thick, they are soft to the touch and can easily be squeezed. The headband has a black silky material on the outside and a soft velvety material on the inside (making it comfortable to wear).
There a few embellishments on these ears:
- A Pirate Hat
- A Flower
- A Bow with a Minnie Pirate Button
- Black Crinoline
- A Couple of Big Feathers
The pirate hat is felt and is lined with pink, ruffled crinoline.
Next to the hat is the big pink flower, which is made of standard fake flower material.
The black bow with the pirate Minnie button is next to the flower. The bow is a ribbon and the button is plastic. Behind the bow is black crinoline, which the bow and button are glued too.
Finally, the ears are topped with two big feathers behind the flower. I’ll be honest, these feathers are a big part of the reason I wanted these ears.
I wore these ears around the house for a little while and they were very comfortable. The headband does not feel too tight and I almost forgot that they were on my head.

At the time of writing this post the Minnie Pirate Ears Headband is available on the Shop Disney Parks app, but they were not showing up on shopDisney.com. Things are always changing on shopDisney.com and they could get added at some point. It can’t hurt to check, if you like these ears.
