This week’s ears in the spotlight aren’t technically ears, but it’s still a fun headpiece.
The Haunted Mansion headband showed up in the Shop Disney Parks app when the other Halloween items were listed. If you are looking for something fun to wear to work or trick-or-treating with the kids, but don’t want to do the full-on costume, then this would work perfectly.
Where To Find It
The headband is designed to be like what the cast members at the Haunted Mansion attraction wear. It’s a cute piece and perfect for anyone that is a fan of Haunted Mansion products. At the time of writing this post, the Haunted Mansion Doily Headband is now only available as an in-store purchase. That could change, so if you want this headband I would keep checking the app. I didn’t see it on disneystore.com either, but you can check their Haunted Mansion Collection to see if it gets added.
Headband Description
Starting with the actual headband piece, it has a satin feel on the outside of the headband and the inside has a velvety feel. It’s a very light headband, so it doesn’t hurt your head if you wear it for a while (not that I walk around the house wearing it or anything…).
The doily stands up straight on top of the headband, but is soft to the touch. By standing up straight it ruffles the doily and looks cute. On the front of the doily there is a bat with sequins, so it sparkles in the light, and a Haunted Mansion medallion that looks like it is sewed onto the bat.
On the back of the doily is a ribbon tied in a bow. The ribbon is long, so the ends can hang down. They are long enough where they can hang in front or in the back. The ribbon cannot be untied, it seems to be glued or sewed. I tried to untie mine because the ends of the ribbon do not hang evenly on the headband I received.
