Modified Monorail Schedule
Starting in February and going into March the Monorail will get a refurbishment. This means that it will be running on a modified route for select dates.
The refurbishment with impact the Resort and Express monorail beams. Here are the modified route dates:
Feb. 3-5
Feb. 9-12
Feb. 23-26
March 2-5
On these dates the modified routes will run from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m..
Here is how the routes will run:
Monorails that run on the Resort beam will go between the Polynesian Village Resort, the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and the Magic Kingdom.
Monorails that are on the Express beam will make an additional stop at the Contemporary Resort as they run between the Magic Kingdom and the Transportation and Ticket Center.
If you are staying at a Monorail Resort and would like to go to Epcot from your resort, you can catch a Monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center and transfer to the Epcot Monorail, or you can take a bus right from your resort to Epcot.
All Monorail stations will remain open and Monorail service will continue from all of them while the refurb is going on. Operating hours for the Monorail will stay the same, as well. Due to the refurb, you should allow extra time to get to your destination if you are traveling on the Monorail during impacted days. Disney will inform guests who are staying at the impacted resorts during the refurb when they arrive at the resort.
