This past trip to Disney I noticed a caricature cart at Hollywood Studios. I was looking for a different kind of souvenir to get the kids and thought this might be a fun idea.
The caricature cart is located on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood Studios. It’s easy to pass by it when you’re headed to Tower of Terror, but I recommend stopping to look a the drawings and to watch the artist as they draw new ones. It’s pretty impressive and they can pretty much draw anything (within reason, of course). I suggest taking a look at the pictures to get inspiration, unless you know what you want before going. The cart has multiple drawings on display, covering different activities, so it can be helpful to look at to get some ideas.
I lucked out and there was no line when I decided to get the drawings done. Most of the time people will sit for the drawings, but this was a surprise and my kids were not with me, so I was told they can do the drawings by looking at pictures. So if you are getting the caricatures for someone else, they will ask you for a couple of pictures to give the artist a good idea of what the person looks like. The best way to do it is to pick pictures that show their full face and full length of the hair.
Once I sent the pictures, we then discussed the activities in the pictures. I decided to have them drawn on their favorite rides at Disney. So my daughter’s picture was drawn on Slinky Dog Dash and my son was drawn on Mickey’s Runaway Railway. After everything is set and the order is in, a cast member will take your phone number and once the drawings are done they will send a text. I was told it would take about around an hour since there was no one ahead of me.
If there are others in line it could take a little while longer, but there is plenty to do in the park while waiting for the text. It was around lunch time, so I decided to go to The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge to grab something to eat. There are no reservations here, it’s just a walkup list, but I highly recommend it. The menu has things from the main restaurant, including the famous Cobb Salad, and it’s a nice relaxing spot to enjoy a meal and people watch.
Pricing for Caricatures
Face Only Drawing
- No Color – $25 Per Person
- Color – $30 Per Person
Face & Body
- No Color – $30 Per Person
- Color – $40 Per Person
Add-on Options
- Frames – $20 Per Caricature
- Art Protectors – $5 Per Caricature
I passed on the frames, but did get the $5 art protectors for each caricature. It’s just a plastic sleeve basically, but it gave a little extra protection in keeping them clean.
These were such a fun souvenir to get for the kids. They loved them and couldn’t wait to hang them in their rooms! If you are looking for a different kind of souvenir, I highly recommend checking out one of these carts. They’re a unique way to capture memories and fun times during a Disney World vacation.
Have you ever had a caricature drawn at Disney World?
Thanks for reading!

Very cool! Thanks for the review, the picture of the markers and tables is where I sit! Would love to see the pictures you had done. Hope to see you again!
I paid for a caricature of my granddaughters cat at Hollywood studios I at Disney world. . I left the name and address and was assured that it would be mailed to us. It is now Feb. and we have not received it. How would I go about fi)ding out what happened to it?
Hi Beth! Were you staying at a Disney World Resort hotel? I’m wondering if it got delivered to your hotel and never sent out. If not, I would contact Guest Services and let them know the date that you placed the order for the caricatures and see if they can track them down.
