This summer is shaping up to be a really fun time in Disney World! There are lots of great things planned, including the opening of a highly anticipated new land.
Disney usually has a them to the summer months, since they are some of the busiest times at Disney World. The themed summers bring with them activities around the parks that guests can take part in. This year is following along those same lines. With the theme of “Incredible Summer” there will be some new experiences in each of the parks.
Magic Kingdom
This summer the Incredibles will be taking over Tomorrowland! Guests will be able to head to the Rocket Tower Stage each evening and have a dance party with Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Forzone, and (making her debut appearance) Edna Mode.
Epcot
In anticipation of the new Guardians of the Galaxy attraction coming to Epcot, guests will be able to see a couple of the characters take the stage. Star-Lord and Gamora will be accompanied by an alien band for a party that will feature songs from Awesome Mixtapes 1 and 2 (of course).
Hollywood Studios
The biggest part of “Incredible Summer” will be happening at Hollywood Studios, because Toy Story Land is opening this summer! The new land will be 11 acres and guests will feel like they have shrunk down to the size of a toy. The idea is that Andy has built this in his backyard using his toys. The pictures look awesome and it’s going to be a great addition to Hollywood Studios!
Animal Kingdom
There’s a new “Up” themed experience that will begin this summer at Animal Kingdom. “Explorers Meet UP! A Great Bird Adventure” will star Russell and Dug and will introduce guests to bird species from around the world.
In addition, Donald Duck will be taking over Dinoland U.S.A. this summer, with a new character celebration.
Disney Springs
AMC Disney Springs will be showing the movie “Incredibles 2” when it is released in theaters on June 15, 2018.
So, as you can see there is going to be a lot going on this summer in Walt Disney World. I’m hoping they release an opening date for Toy Story Land soon. We will keep you posted and let you know when an opening date has been released.
What are you most excited for this summer in Disney World?
Thanks for reading!

We’ve been to Disneyworld several times so this year my family and I decided to check out Disneyland. I got the Countdown to Disney App and like your posts but do you ever put Disneyland info on your page or is it all Disneyworld related? Would love to hear some things about DL as we’ve never visited there.
Keep up the good work.
