With less than 20 days to go until the opening of Pandora – The World of Avatar it’s good to plan ahead if you are planning on being there when it opens. One thing that will help with planning is knowing the hours the park will be open during your vacation.
In celebration of the opening of this new land Disney is extending the hours of operation for Animal Kingdom. From May 27 to July 4, 2017 the park will be open from 8 am – 11 pm, but that’s not all. There will also be extra late hours (from 11 pm – 1 am) exclusively for Pandora and exclusively for Disney Resort Hotel guests during those dates.
The extended hours will help with the big crowds that will be visiting the new land. There is so much anticipation for the opening of Pandora, so big crowds are definitely expected. On the plus side, the line for Expedition Everest might be shorter.
The walkthrough videos show just how immersive this new section of Animal Kingdom is going to be. From the floating mountains to the new attractions and new dining experiences there is a lot to experience in Pandora.
If you are planning on going during the first week or so of Pandora opening to the public, keep the big crowds in mind. Patience is going to be the key word, especially when dealing with big crowds. Don’t try to pack too much in and spend as much time as needed in Pandora to see everything. If you are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel then you should definitely take advantage of those later hours. The crowds will thin out the later it gets. Caffeine would be another key word here.
