Friday’s Featured Photo: BB-8 Astromech on Duty

This week’s featured photo takes us to Hollywood Studios.

Located in Animation Courtyard in the Star Wars Launch Bay, the BB-8 meet and greet is a fun experience for any Star Wars fan. To meet BB-8 head to the Star Wars Launch Bay and make your way through the hallway and down the stairs. The area is made to look like a Resistance freighter an you will have to wind your way through the corridors to meet BB-8.

Once you reach the area with the meet and greets you might be lucky enough to catch some Stormtroopers marching through. When we were there they were leading a line of kids through the area. There were lots of smiles in that line!

The meet and greet for BB-8 was fun. That is one cute little droid! When it is your turn to meet BB-8 a cast member will bring you into the room. BB-8 actually moves (the head, not the body) and makes noises, so it’s definitely interactive. This is a fun experience for anyone, even if they are not a Star Wars fan (gasp!). I would highly recommend making time for this meet and greet the next time you are in Hollywood Studios.
