Today, one of Disney’s popular restaurants reopens its doors. Flying Fish Cafe closed earlier this year so it could be re-imagined, and today guests get to see what the new design looks like.
Not only has the interior been redesigned, but the menu as well. You can check out pictures from the redesigned restaurant from Disney Parks Blog. I think my favorite part might be the clear-glass school of fish and bubbles that hangs from the ceiling. It looks beautiful!
According to Disney Parks Blog, the new look of the restaurant is sophisticated and “pays homage to the golden era of seaside boardwalk dining.” The deep blues in the restaurant definitely help with the sophisticated feel.
There is an open kitchen with three different tables that seat a total of 12 guests. This is the “Chef’s Counter” and has been redesigned as well. A six-course dinner is offered in this area and it has its own menu.
Along with the new menu, the restaurant offers more wine choices as well. They have almost 300 labels and just about 80 available by the glass. Also mentioned are the return of the popular wine flights and a new cocktail menu.
Seeing the pictures of the new design of the restaurant and looking over the menu makes me very excited to try this restaurant! The Boardwalk area is one of my favorite areas and I’m so glad they kept the Flying Fish. I think the redesign of both the restaurant and the menu will be well received.
Are you excited to see the re-imagined Flying Fish Restaurant?
