When Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opened, it opened with a virtual queue, like Rise of the Resistance in Hollywood Studios. Today Disney announced that will be changing on January 10.
Beginning January 10, guests will no longer be able to use a virtual queue option for the popular new ride. Instead, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be moving to a standby line. For guests who don’t want to to stand in that line they can purchase access to the Lightning Lane queue. However, keep in mind that Remy is on the list as an Individual Lightning Lane purchase, so this ride is not included in the purchase of Genie+, it’s an additional purchase.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure located in the France pavilion and is a fun 4D ride that takes guests on an adventure through Gusteau’s restaurant kitchen. The ride vehicles look like other rats, so guests are supposed to feel as though they have been shrunk to the size of a rat. As with any Disney ride, the attention to theme detail begins the second you enter the building.

Are you happy to see the virtual queue go away or do you prefer it to the standby queue?

While I don’t like the new pay fast pass system. We never could get the virtual queue system to work for us on Rise of the Resistance. I just wish we could have the old fast pass back with the 60 day advance booking. Disney’s whole argument about flexibility is garbage since they are sticking with the reservation system!
Couldn’t agree more!!
I’m not a huge fan of it either and honestly, I’d be happy if they went back to the paper FastPass system so you have to be in the parks to get them. I feel like that was a little more relaxed and I miss that. Of course, saying I miss the paper FastPasses probably makes me sound pretty old. LOL
