Disney will once again be streaming an event at Disney World. This one has to do with the highly anticipated opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios.
The official opening date for Galaxy’s Edge is Thursday, August 29, but the dedication ceremony will happen tomorrow, August 28. Guests can catch the live stream on Disney Parks Blog starting at 9:55 a.m. No other details about the live stream were released. So I’m not sure if there will be special guests like there were in Disneyland, but we can hope.
Here’s Disney’s announcement of the live stream.

The live stream will be available right on Disney Parks Blog and I’ll post the video of their live stream on Main Street Wishes as well. High crowd levels are expected for the opening, so keep that in mind if you are visiting in the near future. Also, Extra Extra Magic Hours begin on September 1 and run through November 2, 2019, which means Hollywood Studios will open at 6 a.m. So take advantage of that if you can.
Having just visited Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for a Passholder preview I can say that the land is completely immersive. I may not be the biggest Star Wars fan, but I would definitely go back and spend time in Galaxy’s Edge. The details are amazing and you honestly forget that you are in Hollywood Studios. The Imagineers did an amazing job with this one!
Will you be watching the live stream?
Thanks for reading!
