I have wanted to try something like this for a while. So a week ago I picked a website and placed my order. Fast forward to today and I have some fun Disney snacks and souvenirs sitting on my dining room table.
The website is called Mickey Monthly and they will send you a box of Disney goodies right to your house. Talk about magical! There are a bunch of options on their website, and I’ll cover those, but first I’m going to start with the one I ordered.
I went with the Theme Park Edition, Mickey (small) size. It’s the second size up; the Fairy size membership is full. I didn’t actually start a subscription; I opted for the one-time purchase. There are small and large options for both the Theme Park Edition and the Original Mickey Monthly, plus a Jumbo size Theme Park Edition, that are available for a one-time purchase.
The cost of my box was $49.99 and with shipping it came to $59.94. With the Theme Park Edition you don’t get the full amount of what you paid for the box, because part of the payment goes towards travel expenses to the park and labor. On their website they say you will typically receive a minimum of 55% in merchandise of the price you paid. Not bad considering it is coming from Disney World.
Was I happy with what I received? Absolutely. In the box was a big bag of kettle corn, roasted almonds, a Vinylmation, a Pop Century post card, a key chain, a Finding Nemo magnet, and a Mickey pencil.
Plus, the packing material was really fun and even included Mickey confetti!
It took about a week to arrive at my house. I was very excited to arrive home and find the box, because I was expecting it tomorrow. So it was a nice surprise!
Let me give you a rundown of the different boxes they offer and the prices:
Theme Park Edition:
- Fairy – This box offers 2 to 4 items and costs $29.99 + shipping and handling.
- Mickey – This box offers 2 to 6 items and costs $49.99 + shipping and handling.
- Castle – This box offers 2 to 8 items and costs $79.99 + shipping and handling.
- Kingdom – This box offers 4 to 12 items and costs $199.99 + shipping and handling.
Original Mickey Monthly
- Classic – This box includes 2 to 6 items and costs $19.99 + shipping and handling.
- Magic – This box includes 4 to 10 items and costs $39.99 + shipping and handling.
