A little while back Disney announced that they would be making some changes and additions to all four Disney World theme parks in 2025. With this latest update they’ve given a bit more of a timeframe of when certain things will be opening.
Magic Kingdom
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away
This is the new nighttime parade that’s headed to Magic Kingdom. Guests have been asking for years to have a nighttime parade back in Magic Kingdom, because it’s been a long time since Magic Kingdom had a nighttime parade. Starting in summer 2025, this new parade will feature popular characters from movies like “Peter Pan,” “Encanto,” “Frozen,” “Moana,” and more. The parade will have vibrant lights, highlighting all of the characters as the parade makes it’s way through the park. Each float will have their lights, or starlight, courtesy of The Blue Fairy from “Pinocchio.”
Pirates of the Caribbean Themed Tavern
Heading over to Adventureland, this tavern will be opening in late 2025 and will be themed to the popular and classic ride. When this tavern opens, guests will find a selection of drinks and food, plus some mysterious and magical surprises.
EPCOT
Spaceship Earth Lounge
This new lounge will give guests sweeping views of World Celebration Gardens, as well as a new perspective for fireworks viewing. Theming will be geared to Spaceship Earth, of course, and will also have aspects celebrating the history of EPCOT. In addition to drinks, the lounge’s chefs have created a menu guests can order from as well. The Spaceship Earth Lounge will start welcoming guests in late spring 2025.
Test Track
This popular ride has been closed and is getting a new theme, but it is set to reopen in late summer 2025. The new theme will also bring new vehicles to the ride. Disney hinted that guests might see these new vehicles being tested in early 2025, so keep an eye out when in EPCOT.
Hollywood Studios
Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After
A fun new show is coming to Hollywood Studios in 2025. Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After will feature favorite villains Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent who will bring their wit and mischievousness to the stage. Expect to see other favorite villains during the show via magic mirrors.
The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure
This is another new show coming to the park. This one will feature Ariel’s story with new sets, puppets, live performers, and other visuals helping to bring the story to life. Guests will be able to sing along to favorite songs from the movie.
Animal Kingdom
Zootopia: Better Zoogether!
Taking the place of It’s Tough to be a Bug!, this new 4D show will open in winter 2025. The show takes place in the Tree of Life Theater, so as you go through the queue line you can check out the Tree of Life and see how many animal carvings you can spot. The new show will feature Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and more of the gang from the popular movie.
DINOSAUR
It was previously announced that Disney would be closing DINOSAUR to make way for the new Tropical Americas Land. The good news is guests will have the next year to experience this ride. So if you are visiting any time in 2025, and will miss DINOSAUR, make sure to get one last ride in before it closes.
