The day has finally arrived! We now know the opening dates for the hugely anticipated land!
During the 2019 Walt Disney Company Annual Shareholders Meeting the announcement was made. So without further ado, in Disneyland it will open on May 31, 2019 and Disney World’s opening date is August 29, 2019.
EDIT TO ADD: Both rides will not be open in Disney World on August 29. The Millennium Falcon will be open, but Rise of the Resistance will open at a later date that has not been announced.
This is probably the most anticipated land opening. This land isn’t just drawing attention from Disney fans, but from Star Wars fans as well (who might not be Disney fans). The pictures that have been released so far are really impressive. I think even if you are not a fan of Star Wars you will enjoy this totally immersive experience.
In these lands guests will be able to pilot the Millennium Falcon, which is pretty cool. There will also be a ride that takes guests right in the middle of a battle and one of the cool things they will encounter will be two huge AT-ATs (the pictures of them look really cool).
There will also be quite a few options for grabbing food and drinks, as well as a few different shopping experiences.

I am going the first week in September too. I hope we get to see the new SWGE, but I am being optimistic. Hopefully they will announce EMH for that week.
