Located in the EPCOT area, this buffet restaurant serves both breakfast and dinner. During breakfast guests can also meet characters at Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast.
This is where we had a very first character dining experience years ago when we brought our kids to Disney World for the first time. We were traveling with friends and one of the kids was a little nervous about meeting characters, which is why we chose this dining experience. This was a good way for the child to see the character from a distance and decide if they wanted to see the character closer. Eventually, Minnie ended up sitting next to them holding their hand, and she sat there for a bit helping ease the nervousness. After that meeting characters was no big deal, and I’ll never forget the patience of that cast member helping with that.
Since then we’ve been back to Cape May Cafe multiple times, not just for the character experience, but also because of the food and we love the resort, as well. Cape May Cafe is located at Disney’s Beach Club Resort and is right off the lobby, very easy to find. The cast members are very helpful and there is usually someone standing outside the lobby door who you can ask for directions. They also have a greeter right inside the lobby, and they are very helpful, but the restaurant really is easy to find. Like any Disney World Resort hotel, the lobby is designed to the theme of the hotel, so give yourself time to look around and take in the surroundings.
Cape May Cafe is a beach themed restaurant, which goes along with the resort hotel nicely. The beach themed touches can be seen all around the restaurant, like the decorative sandcastles by some of the tables. Of course, the outfits the characters wear at breakfast are beach themed as well.
Each meal time has a variety of food for guests. Since it is a buffet, guests can get as many plates as they would like. However, the snow crab legs served at dinner cost extra at $29 per pound. The pricing is as follows, breakfast $49 per adult/$33 per child and dinner $49 per adult.$29 per child.

Any time we have eaten here we have enjoyed it, so it’s always a spot I recommend, especially when someone is looking for a character dining option. The food is always good and the atmosphere is fun. Have you been to Cape May Cafe?
Thanks for reading!
