Epcot has a lot going on these days. There’s construction inside and outside of the park, and part of that construction included is a newly designed main entrance for Epcot.
Disney is hard at work creating the new entrance that was announced back in February. This new entrance includes the removal of the Leave a Legacy granite monoliths. The displays will be moved to a setting just outside the park’s gateway, so they are not going away completely. On Monday walls were put up around one of the Leave a Legacy displays, so I imagine they will be removed soon, if they haven’t been already.
Some of the construction is also visible from the monorail station at Epcot. You can also see quite a bit from the monorail as it circles the park before it stops at the station. Not only can you see the walls around the Leave a Legacy display, but you can see the construction that has already begun on other areas of the entrance.
