Celebrating a birthday? Maybe it’s someone’s first trip or you are celebrating an anniversary. Whatever your celebration is make sure to check with the front desk, or at Guest Services in the parks, and get a button to wear to show what you are celebrating.
These buttons are free and avaiable to all guests. The 1st Visit and Birthday buttons are probably the ones you will see most in the parks, but they also have buttons for those that were just married. If you have a celebration that is not represented on the buttons just ask for a general Celebrating button and you can write what you are celebrating on the button. I’ve seen people with the general Celebrating button and they have written in their celebration as being cancer-free…those are the best pins I’ve seen in the parks!
The buttons will bring attention to the wearers from cast members and other guests, which is fun and is a good conversation starter with people you might otherwise not talk to. During the last trip we got each of the kids the 1st Visit buttons and they were ecstatic anytime anyone noticed their pin.
Sometimes, if you are wearing a Birthday button the wearer will get surprised with a dessert from a restaurant where they are dining. This, however, is not a guarantee and should not be expected. I’ve heard of people expecting free desserts at restaurants just because they are wearing a pin. It’s at the cast member’s discretion and I’m betting the nicer and less greedy people are the better you chances are at a nice surprise.
During our next trip my husband and I are celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary and I’m definitely getting a button. I love that Disney offers these buttons and I hope they always do. It’s just another magical touch that they add to your vacation!
Thanks for reading!

My daughter and I are going in 35 days!!!! I am celebrating my 25th wedding anniversary ( while my husband is away for work and can’t attend ) and my daughter is celebrating acting the LSAT! Newfoundland weather is colder than the North Pole right now so we are very excited and will definitely seek out these buttons!
Yay! That’s so exciting, Rose! Happy anniversary and congratulations to your daughter! Have fun wearing your celebration buttons 🙂 I hope you both have a magical time!

What are the prices for the buttons? I am going with a large family with three children’s first time.
Hi Caroline,
The buttons are free 🙂 Just ask at either the front desk of your Disney hotel or, if you are staying off property, you can ask at Guest Services at any of the parks. Hope you and your family have a fun and magical trip!
