Kilimanjaro Safaris is a really fun attraction. You get to see a lot of animals and you learn something too.
One of the animals you see on the safari is elephants. There’s usually a couple (at least) hanging out by the water. Elephants are impressive animals with their long trunks and tusks.
Keep your eyes open the next time you are on the safari, because you might get treated to a view of the new elephant calf that was recently born at Animal Kingdom. Disney made the announcement this week that Stella is the seventh elephant to be born at the park and has joined the other elephants on the savanna.
Stella’s mom, Donna, is a 28-year-old elephant who has given birth to two other elephants at the park. The new calf brought the total number of elephants in Animal Kingdom’s herd to 10.
Disney is working to help reverse the decline of elephants in the wild. They work with different groups, like Save the Elephants, to see what can be done to have humans and elephants live together without having conflict.
Take a look at Disney’s video of Stella and take in all the cuteness!
So the next time you are on Kilimanjaro Safaris, keep an eye out for this little cutie!
Will you be looking for Stella during your next trip?
Thanks for reading!
