Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. Two people where able to answer which park it is located in.
Congratulations to Doug and Disney Dennis, who both knew it was located in Animal Kingdom. Specifically, this display can be found in the queue line at Kilimanjaro Safaris, which is located in the Africa section of the park. This popular experience has guests boarding ride vehicles and setting out on a safari to see over 30 species of animals on 110 acres. Some of the animals, like the giraffes, roam free around the ride vehicle path, so don’t be surprised if there’s a back up of ride vehicles waiting for animals to move from the path. The safari lasts about 18-minutes, give or take depending on the animals near the ride path.
This is one of my favorite experiences, because no two rides will be the same. Each time you ride you will experience something different. The last time we were on Kilimanjaro Safaris we saw an ostrich by one of the cast member trucks and we were told she was there because she was looking for food. I half expected her to start knocking (or pecking) at the window, it was a pretty funny thing to see and I can honestly say in all my times experiencing this ride that is the first time I have seen anything like that. So definitely keep your camera ready, you never know what you might see!
Thanks to everyone who played along and congratulations to everyone who knew where to find the display. Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon!
What’s your favorite animal to see on Kilimanjaro Safaris?
Thanks for reading!
