Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. Five people knew where to find the painting.
Congratulations to Caroline, Lori, Doug, Melanie, and Denis, who all knew the painting can be found at the Emporium at Magic Kingdom. Located on Main Street U.S.A , the Emporium is a large gift shop that has many items to choose from. The nice thing with stores like this in Disney World is that they are connected to other stores that run the length of the street. So, if it’s a really hot day in the park this is a nice way to get out of the heat. While enjoying the air conditioning, guests can check out the merchandise while still walking further into the park. The Emporium has a wide variety of items including ear hats and headbands, decor, kitchen items, toys, food, and other items.
Not only are the shops a good way to get a break from the heat, but they’re also a good way to end a night in the park. The mad rush to the transportation area at closing can be a bit much. Hanging back for a while and exploring the stores can be a good way to let the crowds diminish. While the stores may be a bit crowded as well, I’d rather be browsing the store than standing in a crowded bus line. Buses and other Disney transportation will run an hour past the official closing time of the park. So that gives some time for shopping before having to be at the transportation area.
Congratulations to everyone who knew where to find the painting and thanks to everyone who played along! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon. Do you make time to look around the Emporium when you’re in Magic Kingdom?
Thanks for reading!
