Last week I posted the above picture and asked for questions as to where the picture is located. Two people were able to correctly identify where this display is located.
Congratulations to Caroline and Judy, who both knew this display can be found at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ in Disney Springs. This table service restaurant is located in The Landing area of Disney Springs and it’s a favorite restaurant among my group of friends. Whenever we visit Disney this is usually the first and last place we eat. Not only is the food really good, but everyone who works there has always been very nice and friendly. We always look forward to our meals and visits at this restaurant.
I love decor in this restaurant. It has a rustic/charming feeling to it. There is a sense of comfort you feel when you walk in this restaurant, which starts the whole experience off on the right foot. It’s very welcoming, but again, I think that also has a lot to do with those who work there.
There are lots of good things on the menu, which you can check out here, but my go to is always the fried chicken. It’s seriously good chicken! It’s buttermilk-brined for 24 hours and you can tell, it is so juicy and flavorful. Once the brining is done, the chicken is fried. The crispiness of the fried coating mixed with the juiciness of the chicken is delicious. I was impressed with this dish the first time and have gotten it each time I visit.
Another favorit is the Church Lady Deviled Eggs appetizer. The eggs are served in a ceramic egg holder, which is good because they definitely need to be in something sturdy. Each half of an egg is filled pretty high with a smooth and creamy egg yolk mixture. Then each half is then topped with a piece of bacon, smoked paprika, and chives. It’s definitely a rich appetizer, but it’s so good. To save room for your entree I highly recommend sharing with the table.
I honestly can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. It’s a great experience all around and it’s one of the few reservations we make well in advance.
