Our Countdown for Disney app has been around for a little while now. We’re always looking for ways to improve it and we welcome suggestions! We only ask that if there is an issue that we are contacted so we can help figure out the problem.
We have added some new features to the Countdown for Disney app and we hope you will find them useful. Now you can check the radar over Disney World and we have added Weather History so you can see what last year’s weather was like for the week you are going to be in Disney World.
Main Street Wishes, along with our friends at Bit3 Computing, have created a fun countdown app for your Disney trip. Right now the app is only available on iPhones, but we are working to get it into the Android market as well.
The name of the app is Disney Countdown, easy to remember. Our app has a picture of fireworks for the thumbnail. We did find a bug when it was approved for the App Store, it crashes on iPhones running IOS7, but that has been fixed and is waiting for approval from Apple already. I will post an update when it has been approved. If you are using IOS8 you will be fine and it works on iPads too.
The original download of the app is free. If you would like the additional features that are available it’s just .99.

We had so much fun creating this app and worked very hard on it. All the pictures that are available for the background were taken by Main Street Wishes and there are even pictures of things that have disappeared from Disney World. We have pictures of the Sorcerer’s Hat, Mickey’s house in Toontown (now New Fantasyland), and the waterfall that used to be in the lobby of the Polynesian available as background choices.
You can use this app for a trip that you have already booked or even for a trip you are just dreaming about at the moment. Either way it’s fun to have a Disney countdown on your phone!
If you’re like me, you love to look at Disney pictures and that’s why I have mine set to randomize 🙂 Another suggestion for a background photo (if you decide to make the in app purchase) you can take a picture of yourself or your kids in your favorite Disney gear. That would be a fun background picture!
