There are plenty of experiences guests can book while in Disney World. A good deal of those experiences do come with a bit of a price tag, but there are some that are more affordable.
One of those more affordable experiences is the Behind the Seeds Tour at EPCOT. This walking tour takes place in the Land Pavilion and gives guests a behind the scenes look at the Living with the Land Attraction. The attraction takes guests though Disney’s greenhouses and showcases Disney’s innovative growing techniques. The relaxing boat ride also takes guests through Disney’s fish farm. During part of the ride, by the farmhouse, if guests look up they will see part of the Garden Grill Restaurant, Disney’s rotating restaurant.
The Behind Seeds Tour is a one hour tour of the four greenhouses and the fish farm. Guests on the tour will learn about the different fist and shellfish in their fish farm. Also on the tour is an up close look at the fruits and vegetables in the greenhouses, which showcases Disney’s latest plant-growing techniques. We did this tour years ago and found it interesting. If you are interested in gardening this is a good tour, plus it adds a little something different to your day in EPCOT.
Tour Details
- Cost: $39 per person
- Tour Times: 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm, 3:30 pm, and 4:30 pm
- Check in 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour at the lower level of The Land Pavilion, near the exit of the attraction.
- Guests must be at least 3 years old to participate.
- Those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
- There is a 24-hour cancellation policy. If the reservation is not cancelled before the 24-hour mark guests will be charged full price.
- It is a walking tour, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes.
