Disney World has a few different fireworks dessert parties and they have fireworks cruises too. Now they have added a dessert party that happens after the fireworks show.
Starting on May 28, guests will be able to watch the Happily Ever After fireworks show from the Plaza Garden first and enjoy the desserts after the fireworks have finished. The dessert party takes place at Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant, which is the same venue for the original Fireworks Dessert Party. The popularity of the original dessert party is what led Disney to the decision to add this new dessert party to the lineup.
Just like the other dessert parties, guests will be able to choose from a selection of desserts and other foods. It’s also an all-you-care-to-enjoy dessert party, like the original, so you can have as many of each dessert as you would like. Disney has added a fun aspect to the menu too with inspiration for the desserts coming from the different lands of Magic Kingdom. Also, when the party takes place during special events or holidays, desserts themed to those holidays will be included in the dessert lineup.

Fireworks Dessert Party Price Increase
With the addition of this new dessert party Disney is also increasing the price of the Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing and the Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace. The new prices start for parties on or after May 28, parties through May 27 will be the old pricing.
The new cost for the Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing is $69 per adult and $41 per child (the same as the new After Fireworks Dessert Party), which is up from $59 per adult and $35 per child. The new cost for the Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace is $84 per adult and $50 per child, up from $79 per adult and $47 per child.
Guests who have booked the Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing are voicing concerns over the possibility of overcrowding with the addition of the new party. I have not heard Disney respond to questions of how they will handle both parties being in the same area, but I will update this post if I hear anything.
What do you think of the addition of this new party?
