Each year, since 2017, EPCOT has kicked off the new year with the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. This year’s event marks ten years since its debut, so I’m sure there will be merchandise available celebrating that.
This year, Festival of the Arts will run from January 15 until March 1. Guests will see familiar activities this year, such as the Ink & Find Scavenger Hunt, the Collection Quest, and the Illumineer’s Lounge. Also, the return of Disney Lorcana TCG will bring exclusive festival offerings, which includes promo items and gifts with purchase that are only available during the event.
Another returning favorite is Disney on Broadway at the America Gardens Theatre. During these shows, musical stars perform iconic songs they sang on Broadway, along with other favorite songs. The stars perform for two weeks, so it’s not like the other festivals where performers are scheduled for one or two nights. Like the other festivals, the shows happen a few different times each day and seating is based on first-come, first-served. The lineup is still TBD, but I’ll post that once Disney releases it.
Also like the other festivals, Festival of the Arts has Food Studios throughout the park. So in addition to the regular food and drink, these Food Studios offer guests more to choose from during the festival. Plus, the creativity of items offered goes along with the art theme. For 2027, Disney says there will be 19 Food Studios placed throughout the park.
Since it is an art festival, it makes sense that there will be artists showcasing their artistic ability throughout the festival. The Chalk Art Galleries is a popular returning feature for 2027. Guests can watch the chalk artists create chalk drawings of Disney characters and more. In addition to the The Calk Art Galleries, there will be other artists to see, I’ll keep an eye out for more information on that.
As more details are released, I will post them here. Are you visiting EPCOT during the Festival of the Arts next year?
Thanks for reading!
Liz
