Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. This one proved to be a bit tough, but one person knew where to find the sign.
Congratulations to Melanie, who know the sign can be found in the UK Pavilion. Specifically, the sign is on the building that houses the Sportsman Shoppe and The Crown and Crest shop. The sign can be seen from the main pathway as guests make their way towards the Canada Pavilion or towards the France Pavilion, depending on the direction.
The Sportsman’s Shoppe offers a variety of British sports items. Guests will also find things related to some popular British TV shows and movies like Doctor Who, Monty Python, etc. Inside The Crown and Crest guests can get a British crest on a mug or get their family coat of arms on a plaque. The store also has Beatles memorabilia, United Kingdom souvenirs, shields, swords, and more. The unique feature of this store is the above mentioned family crests. Cast members can help you search a database for your family crest and tell you want the colors and symbols mean. It’s definitely a different and interesting experience.
If you are coming from the EPCOT resort hotel area then the path from the International Gateway (back entrance) will lead you right to the UK pavilion. If you are an Alice in Wonderland fan, look for her meet and greets during the day in this pavilion. Alice usually meets near the first building you come to when entering from the International Gateway, The Tea Caddy. At this store guests will find Twinings tea and tea accessories, British sweets, cookies and royal memorabilia.
Congratulations again to Melanie and thanks to everyone who played along! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon. What’s your favorite thing to do in the UK Pavilion?
Thanks for reading!
Liz
