Walt Disney World’s Cinderella Castle has seen many different colors and overlays over the years. Famously (or infamously) the birthday cake theme for the castle is one guests still remember vividly.
The most recent color scheme change for the castle added a pink color to the it, which was done in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Disney World. The pink, while pretty, didn’t really make sense for Cinderella Castle, since her color theme is blue. It was definitely better than the birthday cake castle though, I think most of us can agree on that. The new color palette will bring the classic look back to the castle. So expect to see cream colors, grays, deep blues, and touches of gold. See the artist rendering below.

There isn’t a timeline yet of when this will start and when it will be completed, so I’ll keep an eye out for that announcement. A paint job on a castle may not seem that important, but so many guests love getting the family pictures in front of the castle. There are always so many PhotoPass photographers stationed down Main Street U.S.A. for this reason and the new paint job, especially with those deep blues, will look great as a backdrop for a family photo.
What has been your favorite version (or least favorite version) of Cinderella Castle?
Thanks for reading!

Definitely happy they are going back to the classic paint scheme. Hopefully they can start the first of january and it can be done by the time we go at the end of march!
That would be awesome if it’s done in time. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
